Lara Dutta

Lara Dutta (Born 16 April 1978) is an Indian actress, UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador and former Miss Universe 2000.

Lara Dutta primarily signed up to do the Tamil film, Arasatchi in 2002, but due to financial problems, it only released in mid-2004. She made her Hindi debut in 2003 with the film Andaaz which was a box office success and won her a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. She then appeared in a number of films, some of which failed at the box office and some of which were mildly successful. Her box office "hits" include Masti (2004), Kaal (2005), No Entry (2005) and Partner (2007).

Kangna Ranaut

Kangna Ranaut (Born 20 March 1987) is an Indian actress who acts in Bollywood films. She made her Bollywood debut in 2006 in Gangster. She won both a Filmfare and a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as a troubled model in Fashion (2008).

Ranaut joined Asha Chandra's three-month course in 2004 to brush herself to face camera. Ranaut moved to Mumbai to try her luck in movies. During September 2005, Hindi film-maker Anurag Basu spotted her having coffee in a cafe in Bombay, and offered her the leading role in Gangster, written by Mahesh Bhatt, and she accepted it. Released in 2006, the film became both critically and commercially successful and her performance was especially applauded. This was followed by another acclaimed performance in Woh Lamhe (2006).

Amrita Rao; born 7 June 1981) is an Indian model and Bollywood actress.Beginning her career as a model, Rao made her acting debut with Ab Ke Baras (2002), for which she won her best debut award. She starred in Ken Ghosh's love-story, Ishq Vishk (2003) and earned her first Filmfare nomination in the Best Female Debut category. She has also acted in films like Main Hoon Na (2004) and Vivah (2006), her biggest commercial success so far.

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra (Hindi: प्रियंका चोपड़ा; born 18 July 1982) is an Indian actress and former Miss World. Before starting her acting career, she worked as a model and gained fame after winning the Miss World title in 2000.

Chopra made her acting debut with the 2002 Tamil film Thamizhan. The following year, she made her Hindi film debut with The Hero: Love Story of a Spy and followed it with the hit Andaaz, for which she won a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa Shetty (Tulu: born 8 June 1975) is an Indian film actress and model. Since making her debut in the film Baazigar (1993), she has appeared in nearly 40 Bollywood, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films, her first leading role being in the 1994 Aag. Although she has been through years of decline during her career, Shetty has been willing to reinvent herself quite often. Her performances in Dhadkan (2000) and Rishtey (2002) were appreciated, while her portrayal of an AIDS patient in Phir Milenge (2004) won her many accolades. Her younger sister Shamita Shetty is also a Bollywood film actress.

Shetty has been embroiled in various controversies including suspected mafia links. In 2006 she was issued with a warrant on charges of obscenity. After taking part in the British Celebrity Big Brother TV show in 2007, Shetty was crowned the winner with 63% of the final vote, after an international racism controversy involving her and fellow contestants Jade Goody, Jo O'Meara and Danielle Lloyd. This was followed by a re-establishment of her status in the film industry in 2007 when she appeared in two successive movies, Life in a... Metro and Apne, with her performance in the former drawing positive reviews.
